I don't know how this happened. I think my problem is that if I don't get a cute original picture, I don't post. I think posts are boring without pictures...so I am TRYING to take more pictures with the blog in mind! We took a video with the school camera of us doing the Chicken Dance but something was very wrong with the quality. I am going to try to get another video and post it soon.
Here some kids wearing their "crowns." If they get 2 starbucks (see if your kiddo can tell you what this is), they get to pick a crown, special note home, good call home, or pick a story.
For some reason, instead of drawing with chalk someone discovered they could draw on thier faces with it. Before I told them not to do that, I had to take a quick picture! :) Silly Kiddies!
I forgot I filmed a few kids playing "drums" during worktime. The video doesn't do justice to how loud it actually was. After this video was taken, the metal bowls had to leave because it was just piercing loud!
Sorry about letting the blog go for 11 very long days! :(

This past week...
We made a class book similar to the story "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" Our book is called, "Who Do You See?" Each student has their own page and it says, "I see _________ looking at me. ________, ________ Who do you see?" Here is a picture of us working on our book...
We also started using the large hallow blocks during work time. The students enjoyed building with these blocks. They built a stage for themselves to sing on and we turned on Alvin and the Chipmunks for them to dance to. I am attaching a video. Beware! It will sound loud. Work time is a time in class when students are able to "work/play" at any center in the classroom. It can get messy! :) During worktime, teachers are taking notes about the learning that is going on. This is also a time for us to get down on the floor and play along with the students.
We also got a "sweet" treat at the end of the day Friday! Bluebell donated ice cream for every student! :)

Mother Goose Reading to our Class
On Grandparent's Day, Mother Goose came to our class to read to us. She also brought her dog for us to pet.

Mother Goose Grandparent's Day
I can't believe how many Grandparents were in our class today! It was so sweet to see everyone together. I actually was just there for Grandparent's Day because I have a bad cold and it is very hard to talk. I knew I couldn't make it all day today, so I just came for the morning.
I don't have pictures of us singing and reciting our nursery ryhmes, but I do have pictures of them making their "itsy bitsy spider" treat.
Have a safe and fun Labor Day Weekend! See you Tuesday!!
